Use of personal data

When you visit DTU’s websites, we gather information by using cookies and registering the information you submit when signing up for events, newsletters, and orders.

Cookies

The first time you visit this website, you will see a banner with information about cookies. If you click on "Only necessary", only cookies that are necessary for the operation of the website are set. We also set a cookie to remember your cookie choices.

On DTU's websites, you can indicate which cookies you wish to allow. In the overview of cookies you can read about the purpose of the individual cookies.

We share information about your use of DTU's websites with selected partners within marketing. In this context, our partners are data processors for DTU and do not use the information for their own purposes.

"Cookies" is a text file which is saved on your computer, mobile or similar for the purpose of recognizing it, remembering settings, performing statistics and targeting ads on e.g. facebook. Cookies cannot contain harmful code such as virus.

The cookie banner used on DTU's websites (which ends with .dtu.dk) shows a gross list of all cookies. This means that not all declared cookies are set on all websites. The cookie banner on DTU's other websites (that do not ends with .dtu.dk) only shows the cookies that are set on the specific website.

The procedure for deleting cookies depends on the browser you use, but you can always find help to delete cookies in your browser. Remember to delete cookies in all browsers if you use more than one. Once you have deleted your cookies, you can access our website again and reject cookies and continue without us setting cookies other than those necessary to use our services.

Other user information

In addition to cookies, we collect the information you submit via entry fields. DTU typically collects information as name, address, email, etc. However, DTU does not sell or disclose personal data to third parties.

There are more than 800 sites on DTU’s web platform. The personal data you provide are not shared across these sites, and there is no central registration of such user information. If you wish to cancel or withdraw information you have entered, you should communicate this directly to the service you have used (e.g. deregistration link in the newsletter).

Privacy policy

You can read more about DTU’s handling of personal data in our privacy policy.

If you have any questions about our data processing, you are welcome to contact our data protection officer.
