Education and Research Policy Summit 2026
Meet the Minister for Science, Higher Education and Digital Affairs, the Parliament's education and research spokespersons, and speakers from, among others, Dansk Metal, Altinget, and Mandag Morgen for a discussion on visions for Danish education and research policy.
In keeping with tradition, DTU invites you to the annual Summit on Education and Research Policy on Wednesday, 7 October 2026.
This year’s summit features important, timely debates with parliamentary spokespersons for education and research, as well as engaging presentations by Claus Jensen, Chairman of the Danish Metalworkers' Union (Dansk Metal), and Lisbeth Knudsen, Chief Strategy Officer at Altinget and Mandag Morgen. Minister for Science, Higher Education and Digital Affairs, Christina Egelund, will also participate in an interview.
Together with the spokespersons, speakers, and the audience, we will take the pulse of Danish education and research policy. How can universities safeguard democracy, improve public awareness, and counter misinformation? Is Europe actually succeeding in translating knowledge, research, and education into production? What are the implications for competitiveness if the link between knowledge and production weakens? We will challenge the political parties on their ambitions for Danish universities.
We look forward to a day of productive discussions regarding the parties' visions for Denmark's education and research policy.
The summit will be expertly moderated by Josefine Kofoed, journalist at TV2 News.
