Rooted in more than a decade of leading X-ray research at DTU and founded by a team with deep scientific and industrial expertise, Thiax marks a paradigm shift in quality assurance.
Thiax enables the identification of the underlying causes of defects in polymer and composite materials. This is achieved by uniting advances in X-ray diffraction with multispectral X-ray detectors and 3D measurement technology, allowing unprecedented insight into the microstructure of polymers. This capability is delivered in a compact, production-ready instrument, enabling in-line use while providing three-dimensional, depth-resolved insight into a material’s internal microstructure.
Thiax was founded by Ulrik Lund Olsen, CTO and co-inventor, and Peter Froberg, CEO. Ulrik Lund Olsen has spent more than a decade at DTU as a postdoctoral researcher and research engineer and leads the Spectral Imaging Group at DTU Physics. The underlying technology was developed in close collaboration with Professor Henning Friis Poulsen, DTU Physics.
