Groundbreaking ceremony for facility to develop and manufacture cell therapy for chronic diseases

The Cellerator laboratory and production facility will be built at DTU in Lyngby. The site was chosen due to the university’s strong expertise in both biotechnology and innovation, as well as the opportunities for synergy with ongoing research that the location offers.

Facts

Cellerator will be housed in a 6000 m2 building with laboratories, GMP cleanrooms and offices, built at DTU in Lyngby.

Construction of Cellerator is scheduled for completion in 2027. The Cellerator team is already supporting several projects from its temporary base at DTU.

Facts

Close to the future site of Cellerator, a large underground building is nearing completion. Over the past year, DTU has constructed a basement building that will supply Cellerator with electricity, water, cooling, heating, fibre-optic cables, and more.

The basement building will be connected to DTU’s central infrastructure — an underground tunnel network that runs beneath the entire campus. This system supplies the university’s own laboratories and will ensure the level of supply security that is critical to Cellerator’s operations
