Innovative trio honoured at DTU’s Teaching Seminar

In the spring, three DTU lecturers received the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Prize For Technical Science Teachers at the University. Today, they officially receive the award at DTU’s Teaching Seminar.

The undergraduate course ‘Design-Build in Life Science’ was awarded honoured with the Novo Nordisk Foundation Prize For Technical Science Teachers at Universities 2026 this spring. The course has been developed and taught by Associate Professors Pernille Rose Jensen (DTU Health Technology), Marie Sofie Møller (DTU Bioengineering) and Saria Otani (DTU National Food Institute).

The course is offered in the 3rd semester to students on the Bachelor’s programmes in Biotechnology and Technical Biomedicine. On the course, students on the Bachelor’s programmes in Biotechnology and Technical Biomedicine are inspired to try their hand at translating biological theory into practical solutions by building devices to measure antibiotic resistance.

Today, 19 May, the three lecturers received the award – officially – at the spring Lecturers’ Seminar, which is organised by DTU Learning Lab twice a year.
