DTU has received DKK 31 million from Danida under the 'Knowledge and Innovation' programme, which aims to support the establishment of partnerships between Danish and African universities.
The purpose of the partnership project is to establish a long-term and equitable partnership between DTU and the University of Nairobi in the areas of climate innovation, entrepreneurship, and education. The project will provide students, lecturers and innovation ecosystems at both universities the opportunity to develop solutions to climate challenges. This will be done by facilitating learning and the exchange of students between the University of Nairobi and DTU through full degree programs, semester mobility, and short-term courses, as well as innovation workshops focused on curriculum development and commercialization. The involvement of DTU students in the project will contribute to their understanding of the world and enhance their ability to tackle significant global challenges.
With the program, DTU becomes a key player in the implementation of Denmark's Africa strategy. Read more about the programme at Danida.
