Yeast cells can be used for rapid testing of cancer immunotherapy

Engineered yeast cells can mimic real cancer cells and be used to test new cancer immunotherapies much faster, benefiting patients.

An international research team with strong participation from DTU—including Professor Sine Reker Hadrup—has developed a new testing platform that can reduce the development time for new types of cancer immunotherapy from months to days or weeks. Photo Søren Kjeldgaard.
