Fakta

DTU hosts the national innovation centre Green X Accelerator, which offers an intensive programme and funding to further develop and mature promising green technologies towards commercialisation. The programme is targeted at research projects from DTU and partner universities across Denmark: the University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University, Aalborg University, and the University of Southern Denmark.

DTU Professor Peter Vesborg is Scientific Director, while DTU Professor Jens Kehlet Nørskov chairs the steering committee. Both have been involved since the establishment of the VILLUM P2X Accelerator and are internationally recognised energy researchers.

The new funding period and name change will take effect on 1 June 2026.

The expected application deadline for new research projects is autumn 2026 and will be announced on the Green X Accelerator website.
