Giana Carli Lorenzini holds a PhD in Packaging Logistics, from Lund University and is currently an Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Denmark, within the Section for Innovation Processes and Entrepreneurship at DTU Engineering Technology. Her research focuses on sociotechnical systems and inclusive design in complex ecosystems such as healthcare and welfare. She works at the intersection of industrial engineering, design, and the social sciences, with emphasis on human-centered design and participatory approaches. Her research projects involve close collaboration with other leading universities, industry partners, municipalities, and end-users, including underrepresented groups as older adults. She supervises Master’s and Diploma theses, and co-supervises PhD students. She also teaches Bachelor of Engineering students of Process and Innovation, specifically the courses Innovation, Design, and Process Facilitation, and Interaction Design. Giana is also involved in collaborative international networks for research and innovation, e.g. Cost Action 22167 for Participatory Approaches with Older Adults (PAAR-Net).
