Laser lighting nonlinear optics frequency conversion diode lasers Phosphor Laser safety
Ole Bjarlin Jensen is performing research within diode lasers, solid state lasers, nonlinear optics and laser based lighting. The research in diode lasers focuses on improvement of the spatial and spectral coherence of diode lasers through the use of external cavity techniques and beam combination of different diode lasers. These diode lasers are used to generate new wavelengths through nonlinear frequency conversion like second harmonic generation and sum/difference frequency generation. The research has strong focus on applications, in particular biomedical applications. Furthermore, Ole performs research within laser based general lighting by converting laser light to broadband white or infrared light. This provides new possibilities as laser generated light can be shaped more precisely than light from other light sources. Ole is also active as consultant for companies within development of optical and laser systems. Ole is co-founder of the company Norlase ApS that develops and produces laser systems for treatment of eye diseases.Links: Researcher ID ORCID LinkedIn Researchgate Publons Google Scholar
