Marine ecology Meroplankton Pollution Climate Change Multiple stressors
The main goal of my research is to improve our understanding of anthropogenic impacts on marine ecosystems, first and foremost of pollution (incl., micro/nanoplastics, PFAS, crude oil, shipping pollution and other emerging contaminants) but also of climate change. I mainly employ laboratory effect studies on aquatic invertebrates (zooplankton and benthic invertebrates), in which I combine ecotoxicology and ecology. I also work on impacts of multiple stressors on Arctic zooplankton.
