My research focuses on the nonlinear mechanics of architected materials ranging from additively manufactured cellular metamaterials to hierarchical composites and self-assembled DNA nanostructures. Current projects include instabilities in soft scaffolds for tissue engineering, data-driven structure-property correlation for metamaterials, brittle failure in lattices, and impact-induced shocks in architected materials.
