Accepting B.Sc and M.Sc Students Tran is Assistant Professor of Robotics and Mechatronics in the Department of Engineering Technology and Didactics, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Denmark. Currently he is serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters (RA-L) and an Associate Editor for IROS 2024 & 2025. Before joining DTU, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Intelligent Robotics Group at Aalto University, Finland with Prof. Ville Kyrki. He obtained his PhD from Aalto University (Finland) in 2024 on the topic of Robotic Grasping & Manipulation, supervised by Prof. Ville Kyrki. His primary research interests are Robotic Grasping & Manipulation, Robot Learning, and Machine Learning. His ultimate goal is to empower robots with the capability to autonomously and robustly perform human-like complex manipulation skills in human-centric environments such as homes and hospitals, in order to assist human in our daily life.
