GPS jamming over Europe is also disrupting satellites in space

Increased conflict-related GPS interference affecting aircraft and ships over Europe is also reaching satellites in low Earth orbit. An online map developed at DTU, the Technical University of Denmark, makes the disruption visible day by day.

Kian Bostani Nezhad, scientist and PhD student at DTU Space and Centre for Security DTU, led the development of the map SAT-JAM, which shows how GNSS interference, including possible jamming from Earth, affects satellites in space. Photo: DTU Space/Morten Garly Andersen.
