Specialization (1): Bridges, Pavements, and Large Structures
This specialization area deals with large ultra-expensive constructions such as bridges, roads, highways, railways, seaports, and airports. These constitute the physical transportation infrastructure that facilitates people and goods' safe and efficient movement over land, air, and sea.

Other relevant courses, though not needed for receiving the specialization, include: Principles of Rock Mechanics; Railway Design and Maintenance; Concrete Technology; GPS, GIS and Surveying; Environmental Acoustics; Marine and Ocean Engineering.
Specializations are merely recommended ways of choosing the courses in the curriculum. Applicants are not admitted to a specialization but to the programme and it is possible to choose among all the courses in the curriculum following the directions given. However, if a specialization has been fulfilled the title of the specialization may be added to the diploma.
