DTU organizes career week for students

Imagine six days packed with career tips and events aimed at DTU students. This is exactly what is offered at DTU CareerWeek, which is currently being held.

The event runs from Thursday, 2 November to Friday, 10 November, during which period DTU students can network with some of the most important and visionary businesses in Denmark. The aim of it all is to facilitate the transition from university to working life.

Tuesday’s activities included a career bazaar, where students could visit different businesses’ stands and chat with their employees, and Wednesday offered BEng students the opportunity to find just the right internship at a special event called Pre Pair, organized by the Students Business Relations association (De Studerendes Erhvervskontakt (DSE)).

On Wednesday, students could also book a coffee meeting with an engineer from, for example, Bang & Olufsen, Fujifilm, or Danfoss, consisting of twenty minutes of undisturbed conversation, where they could gain one-on-one insight into the competences in demand by companies.

Today, Thursday, there is an opportunity to see a fictional job interview on the library stage, and this evening is Career Night, which is an event filled with presentations where the participants can hear more about what it is like to work as an engineer at Cowi, Lego, and McKinsey & Company, among other companies.
