Innovation
For the fourth year in a row, innovative DTU start-ups are pitching technologies for the benefit of society, to potential investors and partners. The day marks DTU’s innovation environment, which is considered one of the most well-developed among technical universities in Europe.
Back in the auditorium, Marianne Thellersen hosts the annual award show, where some of the most promising start-ups are honoured for their work.
One of the winners is Uterome Biomedical, which—like Uvisa—focuses on women’s health. More specifically, they are developing a method for diagnosing the disease endometriosis, which causes severe abdominal pain and which, according to sundhed.dk, affects 6-10 per cent of all young women. Behind the start-up are three Master’s students at DTU who tell us what the day means to them:Awards
