Experienced networker and affable director appointed new dean of sustainability, inclusion, and diversity

Christine Nellemann leaves her position as Director of Institute at DTU Food to join DTU's Executive Board as a new dean.

  • Born 1971
  • Has a Master of Science (MSc) in Human Biology (University of Copenhagen 1997), a PhD in Medicine (University of Copenhagen 2000), and an Executive MBA, Master in Management of Technology (DTU 2011)
  • Researcher at DTU National Food Institute in 1999
  • Director of DTU National Food Institute in 2014
  • Member of the Danish Council of Ethics, the Danish Council for Research and Innovation Policy, and the European Food Safety Authority Advisory Forum
  • Board member of the National Research Centre for the Working Environment and former board member of Denmark’s 3R-Center, Food and Biocluster Denmark as well as the Think Tank on Prevention of Food Waste and Food Loss
  • As of 1 January 2024, DTU’s dean with responsibility for sustainability, diversity, inclusion, and talent development as well as international collaboration
