Anders O. Bjarklev, President of DTU, has been elected Chairman of the Danish Rectors’ Conference and Per Michael Johansen, Rector of Aalborg University, is the new deputy chairman.
According to Anders Bjarklev, the new presidency sees it as an important task to work on areas in which the Danish universities have common interests. This applies, for example, to working towards creating better framework conditions and to increase the visibility of the universities’ value to society.
DTU’s President will serve as Chairman for the next two years. He succeeds Ralf Hemmingsen, Rector of the University of Copenhagen.
