KAIST—the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology—and DTU signed a partnership agreement on innovation and entrepreneurship.
In March, President Anders Bjarklev participated in the Danish business delegation’s visit to South Korea. While in the country, he and the president of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology signed a partnership agreement expanding the existing collaboration to include innovation and entrepreneurship.
Anders Bjarklev spoke at the official meeting in the Danish-Korean Green Growth Alliance, highlighting the valuable research and education collaboration shared by DTU and KAIST. In return, President Kang acknowledged that while KAIST has many international partnership agreements, it views its partnership with DTU as a collaborative role model.
Among other things, the two universities will publish each other’s patents on their respective websites and students will be encouraged to participate in reciprocal university competitions—KAIST students in DTU’s innovation Grøn Dyst (Green Challenge) competition—and DTU students in Startup KAIST Global Idea Competition, which focuses on solving pressing global issues in energy, the environment and sustainability.
