A newly published ranking shows that DTU ranks among the best 150 universities in the world at producing employment-ready graduates.
The
Global Employability University Survey
ranks DTU at no. 112 among the world's universities at producing graduates that recruitment managers assess as employment-ready and attractive for employers. This moves DTU 29 places up the ranking compared to 2014.
The ranking is based on a questionnaire-based survey in 21 countries among 2287 headhunters and 2,400 CEOs in international headhunting companies with more than 1,000 employees. Read more about the method here.
Only two Danish universities rank among the top 150 on the list, with the University of Copenhagen at no. 52.
In the top 10 we find mainly UK and US universities, with the first place going to Havard University while the second and third place go to the University of Cambridge and Oxford University, respectively. The highest ranking European university is found at no. 11, incidentally DTU's alliance university, Technische Universität München. Learn more about the EuroTech Universities alliance.
In the survey, the recruitment managers also had to state which characteristics they give most priority when recruiting new graduates. Across countries and continents, responses were identical in relation to the following priorities of characteristics:
- Specific competencies
- Work experience
- The graduate's specialisation
Recruitment managers in Europe and the Americas give least priority to the grade levels of new graduates and only slightly higher priority to which university they graduate from.
