New director for DTU Learn for Life

On 1 March, Karina Rothoff Brix will take up her new position as Director of DTU Learn for Life.

Karina Rothoff Brix, who takes up the position of Director of DTU Learn for Life on 1 March, has strong competences within innovation and entrepreneurship. She comes from a position as CEO of the Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship at CBS. Karina is a serial entrepreneur and has a great love of digital disruptive drivers. She has an MSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law and a Master of Management Development from CBS.

“I’m very pleased to announce that we have signed a contract with the upcoming Director of DTU Learn for Life. From a very strong field of applicants, we have selected Karina Rothoff Brix, who has created strong growth in terms of both staff, businesses, and research collaboration,” says Philip John Binning, Senior Vice President, Dean of Graduate Studies and International Affairs.

Autumn opening event
DTU Learn for Life brings together the continuing education activities of DTU Diplom Centre for Continuing Education, DTU Executive School of Business (DTU Business), and the continuing education responsibilities of the Office for Study Programmes and Student Affairs. The centre will boost DTU’s profile in the field of continuing education and showcase the University’s technologies and know-how.

On 1 April, the Centre’s approx. 25 employees will move into Building 421 on Lyngby Campus, where DTU Business is currently based. The opening of the new centre will be celebrated with an event in the autumn of 2019.

“I very much look forward to helping influence DTU’s continuing education offers together with my new colleagues and collaboration partners. My ambition is for us to set new standards both nationally and internationally for DTU in this area,” says Karina Rothoff Brix.

She will officially take up her position as Director when DTU Learn for Life officially opens on 1 April. Karina is 42 years old and married with four children.
