The H.C. Ørsted postdoc stipends are given to young talented researchers with a PhD from a foreign university. The ten researchers begin their work at DTU within the coming months and will continue their research career at DTU for the next 1-2 years.
The H.C. Ørsted postdoc programme was launched in connection with DTU 175-years-anniversary in 2004. Since then 80 international research talents have completed the programme.
No fewer than 90 researchers applied in 2013, compared to approximately 70 applicants in 2012. Provost Henrik C. Wegener comments:
"There were many talented candidates for the stipends in 2013, and we are excited to be able to attract such a competent group of young researchers to the University. In my mind it is both a unique opportunity for the researchers themselves as well as a further strengthening of DTU’s international profile."
