New exchange agreement with The University of British Columbia

DTU students will soon be able to spend one or two semesters at The University of British Columbia (UBC), one of Canada’s leading research universities and consistently ranked among the top 40 in the World.

In connection with a visit by a large delegation from UBS, Dean Martin E. Vigild and Marc Parlange, Dean of Applied Science at the UBS took the first steps on 4 November towards an exchange agreement by signing a letter of intent. The ambitious agreement aims at exchanging no less than 50 students in 2016.

Things to come
DTU and UBC recognize the importance of providing students with the competitive advantage of having an international experience on their CV. Both universities also see the establishment of the student exchange agreement as one of several steps towards a closer partnership that will lead to further and strengthened collaboration in research and education.

Ambitious numbers
It is the clear intent of UBC to ensure that approximately half of all their BSc students in the Faculty of Applied Science go global for at least one semester.

"More than 20,000 students from UBC have already gone global—now they want to come to DTU"

“We are extremely proud that the Faculty of Applied Science at UBC has chosen DTU as one of their preferred European partners,” says Dean Martin E. Vigild.
