More than 50 DTU start-ups introduces themselves in connection with DTU's annual digital summit.
Start-ups old and new meet at the Startup Fair at DTUs annual digital summit—High Tech Summit.
More than 50 of the most successful start-ups—counting names such as Eupry, Obital, and Trebo—present their projects with posters and a small booth where they show their prototype and answer questions from visitors.
“What characterizes these start-ups is that they hail from one of the largest hotspots for high-tech in the EU and the Nordic countries. The focus is on hardware and high-tech, and the start-ups represent the entire DTU value chain: from student start-ups to research-based spin-outs and established companies located in the science park,” says Kristoffer Buch, Project Manager at DTU Skylab.
DTU Startup Fair is a platform where start-ups have the opportunity to interact with the companies, potential customers, and investors visiting the summit. Descriptions of the 50 start-ups have been gathered in a catalogue which visitors will be given at DTU High Tech Summit.
DTU Startup Fair is held at DTU Library from 10.00-16.00 on 1 October and ends with a pitch competition where some of the exhibitors present their projects on stage.
A jury consisting of Danish and international experts in innovation will question the companies’ pitch ideas and select a winner among the projects. The jury consists of Ken Singer, one of the strongest profiles within entrepreneurship at UC Berkley, Lars Thinggaard, CEO of Milestone Systems, Sune Stilling, Head of Growth, Maersk, and Tore Duvold, Director of Innovation Fund Denmark.
On both days there will additionally be a range of sessions discussing entrepreneurship with participants from the University and industry.
