DTU ranked among the world’s most international universities

In a recently published ranking from the internationally recognized publication Times Higher Education, DTU comes in 66th place out of the top 100 most international universities.

The ranking examines a university’s international student numbers, its percentage of international staff and the proportion of its research papers published with a co-author from at least one other country.

“It is crucial for DTU to be globally recognized as a university with an international outlook. This is why we are dedicated to developing and strengthening our international working relationships. It is quite simply a requirement if we are to attract the best academic staff and talent and produce collaborative, innovative research with other institutions and researchers around the world,” says DTU’s President Anders Bjarklev, who goes on to say:

“We are therefore delighted by the ranking, which shows that our efforts have been successful. The ranking confirms that we are Denmark’s most internationally oriented university and I am very proud that we came in 66th place among the world’s most international universities.”

The University of Copenhagen and Aalborg University are also featured on the ranking list, which is topped by EPFL, DTU’s partner university in Switzerland, closely followed by two other Swiss universities, namely ETH and University of Geneva, which occupy joint-second place.

This is the first time Times Higher Education has compiled a ranking of the world’s universities based on their international outlook.
