DTU achieves its highest ranking on the QS World University Rankings of the world's 200 best universities.
This year, DTU is ranked number 109 on the recently published QS World University Rankings. It is the best position so far in this ranking, and three places up compared to 2015, where the DTU was number 112. Since 2011, DTU has climbed a total of 41 places in the ranking.
The QS World University Ranking is a top 200 of the best universities in the world. It is made on the basis of evaluations of the more than 900 universities around the world. Top 200 includes three Danish universities.
The list ranks universities based on how external researchers assess the university research, how often the university's researchers are cited in scientific journals, the student-researcher ratio, how employers assess graduates from the university, and the number of international researchers and students at the university.
In particular, it is DTU's international profile and an increase in the number of citations, which is the background for this year's progress.
