DataMine makes life easier for researchers

Cyber security Entrepreneurship Innovation and product development

Many research areas rely increasingly on vast data volumes—the management of which is both complex and time-consuming

This is the background for DataMine, a new start-up which has developed a system allowing researchers to quickly and easily store, share, and retrieve their data—a kind of advanced search engine for streamlining research data while ensuring efficient access to the data.

The DataMine system streamlines processes for researchers in the fields of, for example, pharmaceutics, biotech, and medicine. The team behind DataMine is made up of students from DTU, the University of Copenhagen, and Technische Universität München.

DataMine is part of the European Venture Program, under which DTU and its three European partner universities in the EuroTech alliance (Technische Universität München, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) each year offer a number of young entrepreneurs from the four universities intensive courses in entrepreneurship as well as an opportunity to build their first European networks. data-mine.eu
