There is good news for graphic designers and web designers who know how time-consuming it is to make cutouts of images—and have seen how poor the quality can be when using, for example, Photoshop’s integrated cutout tools.
The start-up CloudCutOut has developed an automatic system producing high-quality cutouts of images of products and portraits.
The tool is based on an advanced mathematical model—including an algorithm trained by being exposed to 100,000 cutouts.
One of the people behind the company is Toke Jansen, who holds a PhD in 'Machine Learning' from DTU Compute.
