European Commission awards grant to EPIQUE Consortium

The research project EPIQUE, carried out by DTU and 17 other partners, has been granted 10,340,000 euros by the European Commission under the HORIZON programme.

Professor Niels Gregersen, DTU Electro, Professor Ulrik Lund Andersen, DTU Physics, and Associate Professor Jonas Schou Neergaard-Nielsen, DTU Physics, are part of the EPIQUE research project, which had kick-off on 18. January 2024.

The project EPIQUE - European Photonic Quantum Computer - was set up to investigate in depth the potential offered by the development of photonic quantum computing platforms. EPIQUE has been granted 10,340,000 euros by the European Commission to develop three different demonstration prototypes of photonic quantum computers at tens of qubits and to pave the way towards a more ambitious quantum platform of over 1,000 qubits.
