EU conference: How we can create more sustainable research careers

At the recently held EU Presidency Conference at DTU – the MSCA Presidency Conference 2025 – societal purpose, diversity, well-being and mobility were recurring keywords for an attractive research career.

Dean for Sustainability, Diversity, Inclusion and Talent Development, Camilla Rygaard-Hjalsted (second from the left), took part in a panel debate on well-being, diversity and inclusion at universities. The panellists emphasised — in line with the MSCA recommendations — psychological safety, fair recognition and leadership accountability for DEI as central factors. Photo: Frida Gregersen

Fakta

Under the Danish EU Presidency, DTU hosted a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) conference at DTU Lyngby Campus.

The conference focused on how European universities can attract and retain the brightest minds — and shape the future of research in Europe.

The conference was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Science under the Danish Presidency, with support from the European Commission, the Novo Nordisk Foundation, and the Greater Copenhagen EU Office.
