Circular economi

Reduced wastage, waste, and carbon footprint

DTU helps companies convert their production to circular economy. It can halve their carbon emissions and minimize consumer waste.

About circular economy

Circular economy really took off as a concept around 2010 through the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, which develops guidelines on how to reuse and recycle products in circular circuits.

Today, this organization’s guidelines as well as a wave of research and development projects in Europe form the basis for a sustainable development in the EU. This is done through the so-called Circular Economy Action Plan.

Today, e-waste is the fastest growing type of waste and thus poses a global environmental problem. We therefore need to rethink the way we create, supply, and consume goods.
