DemensAI awarded Student Startup of the Year 2024

Every year, the Student Startup of the Year award is announced at the DTU Commemoration. The award is given to a startup that originates from DTU and has shown great potential.

The Student Startup of the Year award goes to DemensAI, which is developing an AI speech-based model for diagnosing cognitive decline. With the model, it will be possible to detect, for example, incipient dementia using a speech test. Four DTU graduates are behind the startup: Abhista Partal, Anton Birn, Laurine Dargaud, and Petros Maravelakis.

The four DTU graduates behind DemensAI are developing an AI speech-based model for diagnosing e.g. incipient dementia.

The award came with DKK 20,000 for further development of the product. The award was presented by Marianne Thellersen, Director for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
