Paul Veers is a Senior Research Fellow at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in the United States. Paul Veers has been involved in the development of wind energy from the 1970s to the present day, where wind energy is a well-established and scientifically based field. Through his pioneering work at the intersection of national laboratories, universities, and industry, he is recognised for having played a leading role in the growth of wind energy, not only in the United States but also worldwide. That is why Paul Veers is honoured with DTU's honorary doctorate.
