Bo Stjerne Thomsen currently serves as Head of Educational Impact at LEGO Education, where he leads global STEM learning design efforts. His career spans leadership roles at the LEGO Foundation and collaborations with world-leading institutions, including MIT, Harvard, and Cambridge.

The appointment reflects DTU’s ambition to strengthen the link between academic research and real-world impact. Bo Stjerne Thomsen’s background as a researcher and industry leader will benefit students, PhD candidates, and faculty alike through several key contributions.
Specifically, he will focus on competence development by enhancing teaching formats that emphasize active engagement. He will also be directly involved in the "Innovation in Engineering" course, which is mandatory for all DTU students. Furthermore, his work will involve integrating learning science and technology to strengthen lifelong learning and generate broader societal impact.
