sex determination Endocrine disrupting chemicals Mechanisms of endocrine disrupters gonad development testis, ovary reproduction testis cancer

Research Area: My current research focuses on the effects environmental chemicals, particularly mixtures of endocrine disrupting compunds, can have on development and health.  With significant background in molecular and developmental biology, I am especially interested in unlocking the molecular mechanism underlying any biological changes and to what degree various compounds can affect normal development and tissue homeostasis. A better understanding of this interphase between the environment and human biology will ultimately aid towards establishing better parameters for human health.    Employment History Sep 2023 - current:   Professor, Head of Research Group - National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark, Denmark July 2017 - Aug 2023:   Associate Professor, Head of Research Group - National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark, Denmark Jun 2014 - Feb 2016:  Research Scientist - National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark, Denmark Jan 2013 - May 2014:  Senior postdoc - Dept.
