Michael Galili is an Associate Professor and Group Leader at DTU Electro, where he leads the Quantum Communication Systems group. His research focuses on optical communication and photonic signal processing, with a current emphasis on quantum communication technologies, including quantum key distribution, quantum networks, and photonic implementations of quantum information processing. He has extensive experience in fibre-optic systems, nonlinear optics, and advanced signal processing, and is actively involved in developing hybrid quantum communication infrastructures integrating quantum- and classical communication. His work combines studies of device level components with system-level demonstrations and applications relevant to future secure communication networks. Michael coordinates and contributes to several national and international research initiatives, collaborates closely with academic and industrial partners, and is engaged in advancing the Danish and European quantum technology ecosystem through research, education, and innovation.
