Environmental engineer specialised in ecotoxicology, environmental fate and effects of nanomaterials and microplastics in aquatic environments and technical systems. PhD in ecotoxicity testing, environmental fate and risk assessment of nanomaterials from the Technical University of Denmark (2011). In my current position as a senior researcher at DTU Sustain (2015-present) my research activities revolves around the fate and effects of micro- and nanoplastics in the environment and in technical systems. I have a strong interest in science communication, disseminating scientific findings to regulators, media and the public. Co-founder of the DTU network ‘Women in Engineering Science’ and former member of the DTU Steering Group on Equality and Diversity (2015-2018).
