PhD Kaarel Siimut receives the Danish Manufacturing Research Award 2026

PhD graduate Kaarel Siimut from DTU Construct, receives the award for his work on developing a production tool with the potential to make industrial production more competitive, flexible and sustainable.

  • The award has been newly established by the Research Alliance, which comprises Danish Industry, Dansk Metal, The Danish Society of Engineers (IDA), and the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences (ATV), in collaboration with MADE (Manufacturing Denmark).
  • The Danish Manufacturing Research Award is presented to researchers who create demonstrable value for manufacturing companies.
  • The aim is to honour younger researchers who, through their work, help to translate research in manufacturing technology into concrete solutions for Danish companies and Danish society.
