Title
Arrayed waveguide gratings for WDM applications
Abstract
Due to easy fabrication, high performance and reliability, arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs) have been widely used in many wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) systems and optical interconnect systems. In this talk, a brief introduction about AWG’s basic principle and design procedure will be given. Then novel design and realization of polarization-independent AWGs and AWG routers with uniform loss will be discussed. Finally, the summary and outlook about our recent research work will be presented.
