I am an Associate Professor at DTU Wind and Energy Systems, working with active distribution networks, flexibility and digitalisation of energy systems. My research focuses on how distribution grids can accommodate increasing shares of renewable generation, electric vehicles, electrified demand and other distributed energy resources. I develop and apply methods for modelling, analysis, optimisation and operation of power systems, with particular interest in flexibility (e.g. e2flex project), dynamic grid models (e.g. ROADNET project), uncertainty and data-driven decision support. A recurring theme in my work is bridging the gap between methods and real-world applications by connecting power-system research with the challenges faced by grid operators, technology providers and energy consumers.Research interests My research interests include:Active distribution networks and smart gridsDistributed energy resources and demand-side flexibilityElectric mobility and flexible chargingGrid-constrained optimisation and decision supportDigitalisation and data-driven methods for energy systemsPower-system modelling, operation and planning under uncertaintyTeaching and education Alongside my research, I am Head of Studies for the BSc programme Design of Sustainable Energy Systems and teachDigital Energy Society. In my teaching, I connect engineering fundamentals with the wider energy transition, helping students understand how technology, digitalisation, markets, consumers and society interact in the development of sustainable energy systems.
