Satellite remote sensing for hydrologic modeling applications

As a Postdoc at DTU Environment, my main area of interest is the use of airborne and remote sensing for hydrologic applications. In particular, I am interested in using novel observation techniques to force and calibrate simulations of hydrological state variables, for instance climate data, soil moisture, total water storage, land cover and water height from satellite observations. The project is conducted in collaboration with DHI-GRAS and draws elements from current projects with the European Space Agency, including GW-A (GlobWetland-Africa) and EO4SD (Earth Observations for Sustainable Development), focusing on the use of remote sensing observations for environmental monitoring to promote sustainable development plans.
