PhD in the Fiber Optics, Devices and nonlinear effects. My project focuses on Dispersive Wave Generation, or Fiber Optic Cherenkov Radiation, a nonlinear frequency conversion process that happens in the anomalous dispersion regime of a fiber. To power scale this, we use large-core silica step index fibers, and higher order modes of such fibers.
