Research on advancing and testing an interdisciplinary toolbox covering chemical, microbiological and hydrogeological interactions to evaluate contaminants fate in groundwater - in order to define when and where they constitute a risk and use this knowledge in remedial strategies. The main focus is on assessment of natural and enhanced biodegradation of soil and groundwater contaminants. The research is applied and collaborative based, so it can be used in mitigation strategies by consultants and authorities.
