We look forward to welcoming you to the study start 2026 at DTU!
We are working hard to plan your study start. The final programme for your study line will be published later, but you can already look forward to enjoyable introduction days filled with both academic and social activities.
What can you expect during the intro days?
The intro days run from Wednesday, August 26, to Friday, August 28, and conclude with a big party on Friday evening. The programme varies between study lines and campuses, but generally includes the following:
- Welcome and introduction
Each day, you will be welcomed by your vectors and your KABS (Coordinator of the Bachelor Study Start). On the first day, you will also receive an official welcome from DTU's president, the dean, and the president of Polyteknisk Forening (PF), DTU's student organisation. Your head of studies will also welcome you to your new programme and provide more information about its structure and content.
- Campus tour
You will get a thorough tour of the campus, so you'll know where your classrooms are, as well as the cafeteria, bookstore, and areas where you can relax and socialise with fellow students.
- Fun activities with your new classmates
Your vectors will organise a range of activities (including engineering-related ones) and social games. These will give you insight into what engineers actually do and help you get to know your fellow students better.
- Academic presentations
The introduction days include various presentations about your opportunities as a student and as a future engineer. For example, there may be talks from the Danish Society of Engineers (IDA) and from senior students.
- Student life and community
You will be introduced to Polyteknisk Forening (PF), as well as committees, clubs, and volunteer communities at DTU, so you can quickly become part of the student environment.
- DTU Intro Party
We round off the three intro days with the DTU Intro Party on Friday evening. You can look forward to live performances by well-known bands, DJs, and a great atmosphere. There will also be lounge areas where you can sit, relax, and get to know your fellow students better. The party is exclusively for you and the other new Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Engineering students, along with your vectors and KABS. The ticket costs 100 DKK, and you can get a discount if you join Polyteknisk Forening.
