Join DTU’s Legendary Semester Kickoff on 4 September – First week of the autumn semester.
SenSommerFesten is an iconic DTU tradition that for over 25 years has marked the beginning of the autumn semester for all students. It is DTU’s second-largest event – only surpassed by the Commemoration Party – and a highlight you definitely don’t want to miss. It’s a party by students, for students, and the place where the entire university kicks off the semester together.
On Studentertorvet behind building 101, you’ll find six massive tents, each with its own universe:
Each tent has its own atmosphere, decorations, themed drinks, DJ lineup, and a huge dance floor. You can wander around, jump between tents, and experience everything from neon lights and cowboy saloon vibes to colorful masks, snowflakes, and chaotic bake-off energy.
Volunteers from PF’s student councils run each tent – and they dress up according to the theme. This means you’ll meet both older students and your own study board in full costume, ready to give you the best possible start to your studies.
