Engineering Design and Product Development - Focus area

The following study plan assumes start of study in September, such that 1. semester is fall, 2. semester is spring, 3. semester is fall and the thesis work is carried out in spring. It includes only one spring semester of courses.

The study plan is not mandatory but is a recommended study plan that fulfills the requirements. All other study plans also have to fulfill the requirements, including maximum 2 years of study for obtaining 120 ECTS.

The discipline seeks an answer to the question: How can we ensure efficient implementation of industrial product development and the design of mechanical and mechatronic products and systems with a strong likelihood of finding a solution? Focus is on creative problem-solving, project work, product life considerations, application of methods, communication, and the use of computers in synthesis activities.
