What?

During the introductory period, you will become part of a cross-team together with new students from other study programmes at DTU. You will not spend all your time in this team, but we still see it as an important part of the start of your studies.

DTU is a large university, and everyday life can quickly become centered around your own study programme. The cross-team gives you an early opportunity to meet other new students who will experience university life in different ways than you.

The cross-team is therefore both a social opportunity and a small introduction to the wider DTU community. You will get to know more familiar faces, and from the very beginning gain a sense that DTU is more than your own class and study programme.

This also reflects the way engineering is practiced at DTU. It is not only about becoming an expert in one field – it is about creating solutions together with others across different disciplines and perspectives.

That is why the introductory week ends with Polytechnical Summer Fun, which builds on the cross-programme activities and gives you the opportunity to continue collaboration and community across study lines. You will spend the day in small teams, focusing on teamwork, good energy, and getting to know each other better in a relaxed and informal setting.

What is Polyteknisk Forening?

Polyteknisk Forening (PF) is a student organisation at DTU that represents all students at DTU. PF is made by students, for students, and they work very hard to make sure your student life is as good as possible - academically, politically and socially. Read more on pf.dk and on PF Instagram .
