Admission requirements to the MSc programmes at DTU

The academic level of DTUs MSc programmes is highly advanced. Below you can find general admission criteria that all successful applicants must fulfill to be offered admission.

Admission Criteria 
Degree

… for admission to all MSc Eng. programmes.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc Eng), Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or a Bachelor of Natural Science (BSc) degree obtained at an internationally recognized university/higher education institution*. DTU does not admit students with an interdisciplinary bachelor's degree. DTU does not accept applicants with a minor in Engineering or in Natural Science.

Please note, your bachelor degree must be less than 10 years old.

Degree

… for admission to MSc in Technology Entrepreneurship only.

A bachelor’s degree within any discipline obtained at an internationally recognized university/higher education institution*.

Programme Specific Academic Requirements Strong academic competencies within an engineering or science field related to the MSc programme of interest. For details on programme specific academic requirements, please refer to the prerequisites for International Applicants under each MSc programme.
Grade Point Average Approximately 75 per cent of the maximum obtainable grade. This may vary depending on the grading system of the university awarding the Bachelor degree. The Academic decisions will be based not only on the overall GPA but also the GPA in individual courses, which are academic prerequisites for admission.
English Language Requirements

All applicants must prove English language proficiency comparable with English B-level from a Danish upper-secondary school. Please see Language Test Requirements for further information on the English tests and documentation that DTU accepts.

* DTU requires all applicants to have a bachelor's degree equivalent to a Danish bachelor's degree obtained at an internationally recognized university/higher education institution.
