How to pay application fees

If you are a non-EU/EEA citizen, you are required to pay a 100 EUR application fee before your application is processed. Some non-EU/EEA citizens are exempt from paying application fees. Please note that the application fee is not refundable.

Application submission and payment of application fee

The steps below should be followed:

  • Submit your online application.
  • Pay the application fee through the DTU Webshop. Please use the same full name and the same email address you have entered in your application in DANS when you pay in the Webshop.
  • Upon successful payment, you will receive an acknowledgement confirmation from the DTU Webshop. Retain receipt of confirmation.
  • You may upload the payment receipt when you submit your application. Alternatively, a caseworker from DTU will contact you and re-open your application, so that you can upload the receipt confirming payment of the application fee.

When DTU registers your application fee payment, your application will be processed.

Please note that your application will not be processed until the application fee payment has been registered at DTU.

Exemptions for non-EU/EEA citizens

If you have a “permanent residence permit” (MMF varigt ophold, MHP varigt ophold, or Permanent) or a “time limited residence permit issued with a possibility of permanent residence in Denmark” (midlertidigt ophold med mulighed for varigt ophold), you are exempted from paying the application fee. In order to qualify for this exemption, you must include a copy of your residence permit with the application. (* must have this exact wording).

Non-EU/EEA citizens who have completed a bachelor in Denmark are exempted from paying application fee.

Applicants with a “time limited residence permit”, a “Green Card” or any other Danish residence permit are required to pay the fee.
